SULFURIC ACID

Sulfuric acid propels the chemical reactions in many bleaches, for instance, Fe EDTA bleaches and dichromate based ones, when used either as a silver solvent or rehalogenator, so it is a necessary evil in the holographer's darkroom. But it is not necessary to keep this liquid, also know as battery acid, in the cupboard, as sodium bisulfate dissolved in water will yield the same pH if used in the proportion of 2.82 grams of bisulfate for each milliliLiter of liquid acid.
